The Netherlands Film Festival, organized by the China Film Group Corporation and the Dutch Embassy, recently started in Beijing and will run until October 31st. With Camiel Schouwenaar's film Strijder (Bigman) as the opening film, the festival will take place in seven cities including Beijing and Shanghai. Ten renowned films, such as the documentary Close to Vermeer and the comedy Rocco, will be shown. Director Camiel Schouwenaar and scriptwriter Job Tichelman were present at the opening.
