Ido Abram, the new artistic director of the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) taking place from 20 to 27 September in Utrecht, shares his vision for the festival in an interview with SEE NL. With an impressive career, including roles as deputy director of the Eye Film Museum and head of the Binger Filmlab, Abram brings a wealth of experience to the NFF. He emphasises his dedication to Dutch cinema and his ambition to honour Dutch filmmakers and improve audience interaction. Abram plans any changes to the festival structure or conceptual approach for after the 2024 festival. He praises the opening film "White Flash" by Laura Hermanides and the closing film "Paradijs" by Bobbie Koek, and emphasises the diversity and quality of Dutch cinema presented at the NFF.
