From 30 September 2024, Flemish broadcasters must warn their viewers about potentially harmful content via the new classification system GoedGezien. This system, which stems from the European Audiovisual Media Services Directive, was developed in collaboration with Flemish broadcasters, service providers and experts. Flemish Minister of Media Benjamin Dalle, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Youth and Media, emphasises the importance of GoedGezien for the protection of minors against harmful content. A communication campaign, including a TV spot, will grace the Flemish channels from 16 September.
