Mees Peijnenburg directs the feature film A Family, a personal family portrait starring Carice van Houten, Pieter Embrechts, Finn Vogels and Celeste Holsheimer. The film, produced by Juliet at Pupkin, tells the story of teenagers Eli and Nina who struggle with their parents' divorce battle. Van Houten, who has appeared in a Dutch film again since Instinct, was touched by the emotional complexity of the script. A Family highlights themes such as resilience, loneliness and unconditional love from the perspective of the children.
