The BREIN Foundation has existed for 25 years and this was celebrated on Monday with a conference in the Schouwburg in The Hague together with the Federation of Copyright Interests, which has existed for 40 years.

Anti-piracy extrahead and former BREIN director Tim Kuik has since retired and left his responsibilities in the hands of his former colleagues. Kuik was one of the founders of the foundation in 1999 and has made a significant contribution in the fight against copyright infringements, both physical and digital. The foundation and its members reflected on his impressive career on Monday.
