The NFF Debut Competition has nominated three films for the Film Award of the City of Utrecht: "Aït Ishaq", "De Jackies" and "Moustache". The award, consisting of €7,500, a certificate and the Golden Mountain statue by Noor Nuyten, recognizes remarkable debut films. The jury, with Joosje Duk, Monique Lesterhuis and Thomas Mataheru, praises "Aït Ishaq" for its cinematography, "De Jackies" for its unique sci-fi world and "Moustache" for the talent of the young actors and the quality as a youth film.
