On September 6, rebellious filmmaker Pim de la Parra, known for his collaboration with Wim Verstappen and their production company $corpio Films, passed away. Together they shook up the Dutch film world in the sixties and seventies with their provocative attitude and innovative films. De la Parra, born in Paramaribo, came to the Netherlands in 1960 and founded the film magazine Skoop in 1963. He made his debut as a feature filmmaker with "Obsessions" and made a splash with "Blue Movie". De la Parra's work was characterized by a mix of bravado, innovation and a critical view of society.
