Dutch director Jan-Willem van Ewijk has won the Europa Cinemas Label for Best European Film in the Giornate degli Autori section of the Venice Film Festival for his film Alpha. The award, announced by a jury of four Europa Cinemas Network operators, recognizes Alpha. for its script, editing, photography and character development. The film, which explores the relationship between father and son, will receive promotional support and enhanced screening opportunities thanks to a financial incentive. Alpha. is a production of BALDR Film in collaboration with several European partners.
