During the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, which takes place from 5 to 15 September, the short animated film 'Quota' by the Dutch animation trio Job, Joris and Marieke will have its world premiere. In 'Quota', citizens are given a device that measures their CO2 emissions, with explosive consequences if they exceed their quota. The film, which took part in the Ultrashort competition, supported by the Netherlands Film Fund, Vue Cinema and the Dutch Association of Film Houses, aims to make the public aware of climate change and the impact of their behaviour on it in a humorous way. Carice van Houten lends her voice to the quota app, thereby emphasising the importance of the theme.
