Jetske Lieber, a graduate of the Netherlands Film Academy, presents her graduation film January, in which the introvert Willem has to reinvent himself after a relationship break-up. The film, which starts on New Year's Day 2024, follows Willem's existential crisis and search for identity, both personally and socially. Lieber and screenwriter Jim Sluis have created a unique film that deviates from traditional structures, by connecting a series of feelings, atmospheres and moment shooting. January will be shown during the Netherlands Film Festival and broadcast on NPO3.
