Filmnieuws
The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced that several Dutch (co-)productions, including the new animated short film "Quota" by Oscar-nominated filmmakers Job, Joris & Marieke, will have their world premiere. "Quota", part of the Short Cuts program, is a dark comedy that addresses the climate crisis by introducing an app that tracks citizens' CO2 emissions. This is the third time that an animated film by Job, Joris & Marieke will premiere at TIFF. The trio themselves will not be present at the festival in order to contribute to reducing climate change. Other Dutch films and co-productions, including "Mr. K" by Tallulah Schwab, will also be screened. The festival takes place from September 5 to 15.
