The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced its Centrepiece and TIFF Docs lineups for its 49th edition, taking place September 5-15, 2024. Focusing on international cinema, Centrepiece features 43 titles with nine world premieres by European productions, including Polish director Damian Kocur’s “Under the Volcano” and Canadian filmmaker Sofia Bohdanowicz’s “Measures for a Funeral.” TIFF Docs presents 21 documentaries with 13 world premieres, including Eddie Huang’s “Vice Is Broke” and Lina Vdovîi and Radu Ciorniciuc’s “Tata,” with stories ranging from media ventures to personal reunions to the war in Gaza.
