Moonshot Digital Culture strives to make digital culture, ranging from VR to interactive performances, more visible and to unite the sector. Despite the presence of digital culture at major festivals such as Cannes and Dutch events such as IDFA and Cinekid, according to initiators, there is not yet an ecosystem with clear structures such as in the film industry. Moonshot, founded during a meeting at the NFF, organizes presentations and discussions to strengthen the sector. The initiative is supported by organizations such as Cinekid, IDFA, and the Nieuwe Instituut. Financing and distribution remain challenges, despite new funds that better suit the needs of digital culture projects.
