Director Tom Van Avermaet is having a golden time in Los Angeles. His short film 'Hearts of Stone' won prizes at the LAShorts International Film Festival. This also means the picture has a chance of an Oscar nomination. 'Hearts of Stone' won the prize for 'best international short film'. “Making this film took blood, sweat and tears. I am therefore extremely happy that we can present the result to the members of the Academy (the people who can vote for the Oscars, ed.),” writes a happy Van Avermaet on Facebook.
