Medina Balešić, Bea Sánchez de Lamadrid Báyon and Maira Darja, graduates of the Rietveld Academy and the Amsterdam University of the Arts respectively, have together made the dance film Crysis. Born out of frustration with misogyny and patriarchy, the film explores women's struggles and introduces the term 'flinta' for more inclusive representation. The film, which contains multiple layers and perspectives, won the Cinedans LAB Student Pitch 2023 and will be shown at Cinedans in March 2025. Crysis emphasizes the importance of collaboration and the complexity of identity and origin.
