Both a feature film and a series about the benefits scandal will premiere in September. The film, "The hunt for Meral Ö.", directed by Stijn Bouma, tells the story of the Turkish-Dutch Meral and her daughters who become victims of the affair. This film opens in theaters on September 5. The series, "De Toeslagenaffaire", produced by BNNVARA and directed by Joram Lürsen, will premiere at the Dutch Film Festival at the end of September. The main roles in the film are played by Dilan Yurdakul and Gijs Naber.
