The Netherlands Film Fund has announced that seven film festivals will receive multi-year funding for the policy period 2025-2028, with a total investment of €630,000 per year. These festivals, including Go Short in Nijmegen, Noordelijk Film Festival in Leeuwarden, Imagine Fantastic Film Festival in Amsterdam, and others, have been selected for their unique and idiosyncratic film offering that complements the offering of cinemas and film theaters. This decision brings the total to eleven festivals that receive multi-year subsidies, in addition to the direct support from the government for the Big Four film festivals.
