André Kuipers, known as the third Dutchman in space, makes his directorial debut with the film Beyond: Ode to the Earth. This will have the largest Dutch film premiere ever on October 4 in the Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam, on a 22 meter wide screen. The film, which shows the beauty of the Earth through the eyes of an astronaut, features music by Vangelis, edited by Armin van Buuren. Kuipers, who previously wrote two science fiction stories, incorporated his space experiences into this film. Beyond: Ode to the Earth will be in theaters on October 10.
