The Dutch Film Festival, which applied for 600,000 euros in subsidy annually, is in danger of losing this financial support. A committee has determined that the festival, together with other cultural institutions such as BAK, basis for contemporary art (700,000 euros), Het Huis (550,000 euros), and Festival Tweetakt (490,000 euros), is not eligible for a subsidy. This decision has caused bewilderment among the organizations involved.
