Despite initial resistance, Koen Mortier has realized his film "Skunk", based on the fact-based novel by psychologist Geert Taghon. The film, which highlights the harsh reality of abused young people in Flanders, became a success. With "Skunk", Mortier and Taghon wanted to make visible the often hidden world of violence and abuse among young people.
