The VPRO Youth Program Timmyland, created by Josèff Iping and presented by Tim den Besten, has won the prestigious Prix Jeunesse in the non-fiction category for 11-15 years. In this six-part series, Tim establishes his own country, Timmyland, where he takes on the role of leader and explores the differences between dictatorship and democracy. The program, which also includes educational material developed with Prodemos, is praised for discussing democratic values with children in a humorous and layered way.
