White Flash, the feature debut of Laura Hermanides, is the opening film of the 44th edition of the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF). The film is based on a true story. After more than twenty years of psychological suffering, a young man is given permission for euthanasia. The cast, including Golden Calf winners Renée Soutendijk and Raymond Thiry, Sanne den Hartogh and Manoushka Zeegelaar Breeveld, will be present at the opening evening of the NFF on Friday evening, September 20 in Stadsschouwburg Utrecht.
