The Belgian queer drama "Young Hearts", directed by Anthony Schatteman, has won the Cannes Ecrans Juniors Jury Prize at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The film, which had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, tells the story of the 14-year-old Elias falls in love with his new neighbor Alexander. Starring newcomers Lou Goossens and Marius De Saeger, and produced by Xavier Rombaut, “Young Hearts” highlights the complexity of first love and self-discovery. The film will be released in Belgium on December 18.
