Sophie van de Pol, screenwriter and director, prefers to write her films herself, such as her debut "Fucking Cola" and "Uitchecktijd". She also worked as an assistant director and writes for other directors, including an episode for "NOOD". Van de Pol, who originally went to drama academy, discovered her passion for film during her training. She emphasizes the importance of hard work and the alternation between writing and directing. She is currently working on a book adaptation about the last witch persecution in the Netherlands, in collaboration with Paul Jan Nelissen and Pieter Kuijpers. Van de Pol appreciates working in a team, but also recognizes the challenges of the writing process.
