Screen Flanders is investing 2 million euros in 12 new projects, ranging from fictional films and series to an animated series. Minority Flemish projects include "Frontera", a Spanish-Flemish film about Jewish smuggling during WWII, directed by Judith Colell. Majoritarian Flemish fiction films include "Coup de Foudre", a crime film by Indra Siera, and "Foley Man", a love story by Frank Van Passel. “Cardboard Boxes,” based on the book by Tom Lanoye, and “Sunday the Ninth” by Kat Steppe are also supported. Among the series, "Badgast", a Flemish-Dutch production, stands out and "Breendonk", where Kevin Janssens makes his debut as a screenwriter and director. "Mr. Paper Season 2" is the only animated series to receive support.
