Thomas Acda, Joes Brauers, Peter Blok and Katrien van Beurden star in the EO series Bij Heldere Hemel, produced by NL Film, about the fireworks disaster in Enschede in 2000. The four-part drama series, directed by Lourens Blok, highlights the aftermath of the disaster which left 23 dead and approximately 950 injured. Brauers and Acda play a local police officer and a detective respectively, while Blok plays the mayor and Van Beurden is in charge of the fireworks company. The series, which examines the psychological aspect of the disaster, is expected on NPO1 in the spring of 2025.
