Top Boy won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Drama Series, with Jasmine Jobson taking home the award for Best Supporting Actress. Sarah Lancashire and Timothy Spall won the awards for best actress and actor respectively for their roles in Happy Valley and The Sixth Commandment, with the latter also receiving the award for best miniseries. Matthew Macfadyen won Best Supporting Actor in Succession. The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 won the award for the best live event. The Crown was left out of the awards, despite nominations for Dominic West, Elizabeth Debicki, Lesley Manville and Salim Daw.
