The shooting of the film adaptation of Tommy Wieringa's bestseller JOE SPEEDBOOT has started under the direction of Sam de Jong. Tobias Kersloot plays the leading role, with Daan Buringa as Fransje Hermans and QiQi van Boheemen as PJ. The story follows Fransje, who is given new perspectives by Joe Speedboot after an accident. The film highlights themes such as imagination, love and friendship. The screenplay is by Jan Eilander and Daniël Samkalden, with cinematography by Ruben Impens. Produced by BALDR Film and CZAR Film in collaboration with VPRO, JOE SPEEDBOOT will be released in theaters next year by September Film.
