Siegfried Bracke, former VAF chairman, has been 'honorably dismissed' and replaced by Ralph Packet, a newcomer and former N-VA MEP. This decision followed the appointment of seven directors at the VAF by the Flemish government, six of whom were reappointed for a period of six years. Bracke's resignation came after a fuss about his pension benefits as a former Speaker of the House, about which he told Knack that the party was convicting him without a trial.
