Jewish writer Etty Hillesum, known for her diaries from the Second World War, becomes the subject of an international drama series called "The Girl Who Learned How To Kneel". The six-part series, produced by Les Films du Poisson, Topkapi Films, Komplizen Film and Quiddity, will be shot in Amsterdam next fall. Hillesum, who voluntarily went to Westerbork camp and was eventually murdered in Auschwitz, gained posthumous recognition when her diaries, "The Disturbed Life", were published worldwide. The series is scheduled to air in 2026.
