During a weekend training, 15 professionals, ranging from aerospace engineers to executive producers, were trained as eco-managers to make film productions more sustainable. This group, from both the audiovisual sector and beyond, shared knowledge and skills to promote sustainability within film productions. They will mainly be active in the pre-production phase, where they do not act as 'sustainability police' but stimulate and guide all departments towards sustainability. The training, a collaboration with GreenScreen eco-consultants, is a requirement for eco-managers for projects supported by the Netherlands Film Fund.
