During the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, which takes place from May 1 to 6, the short film "No Horses on Mars" by Dutch filmmaker Bea de Visser will have its international premiere. The film, part of a trilogy, scientifically and poetically explores horse perception and how it differs from or resembles human perception. De Visser uses techniques such as CT brain scans and thermal imaging to explore the world through the eyes of a horse. The film, which also pays tribute to Austrian writer Peter Handke, asks questions about identity and experience from the horse's perspective. De Visser focuses her work on the international arthouse festival circuit and museums, and emphasizes her love for animals and the unique approach to each part in her trilogy about animals.
