The Equal Opportunities Committee of the Flemish Parliament held heated discussions on Thursday about the Turkish-Belgian film Turquaze. The reason was a number of reports in the press about separate screenings of the film for men and women. Flemish Minister of Equal Opportunities Pascal Smet (SP.A) allocated subsidies for a number of accessible screenings to attract as many Turkish Flemish or Flemish Turks as possible to the film.
