Go Short, the festival that focuses on short films, will celebrate its sixteenth edition in 2024. The festival, which takes place from April 3 to 7 in Nijmegen, offers a platform for European and Dutch short films, music videos and films from European film academies. The competition includes almost seventy films, including Charlie Shackleton's Lateral and Is Heaven Blue? #2 by Menno and Paul de Nooijer. The Heat Waves focus program addresses climate change. Maker in focus is the Finnish Pilvi Takala, known for her socially critical films. Despite the production of many short films, they remain outside mainstream cinemas and television.
