Kaboom, the most important Dutch animation festival, led by artistic director Aneta Ozorek, will take place from April 5-14 in Utrecht, Amsterdam and online. The festival, which stems from the Holland Animation Film Festival and KLIK Animation Festival in 2019, is known for its eclectic and adventurous approach to animation. Kaboom recently achieved Oscar-qualifying event status and also became a partner of the Annie Awards. The theme of 2024 is "what does home mean to you?", with films exploring this theme. Despite the pandemic, Kaboom remains a hybrid event to promote inclusivity.
