Roel Oude Nijhuis, an experienced producer and entrepreneur in the creative industry, has been appointed the new Dutch film commissioner. He will start on April 1, 2024 and succeed Bas van der Ree, who is retiring. Oude Nijhuis, born in 1978, has a background in film and television studies and was a partner at production house HALAL. He has an international outlook and produced films such as Sam de Jong's "Prins", which won three Golden Calves, and other projects such as "The Last Ride of the Wolves" and "The Sound of Philadelphia".
