The winners were announced at the 74th Berlinale. Director Mati Diop received the Golden Bear for her documentary 'Dahomey', about the return of art treasures to Benin. Judge Lupita Nyong'o also rewarded Nelson Carlos De Los Santos Arias and Hong Sang-soo. The Netherlands also had two minor successes.
