Director Ben Verbong will make a film about Marinus van der Lubbe, who set fire to the Reichstag building in 1933. The film is based on the book by journalist Martin Schouten and aims to tell the story of Van der Lubbe as a socially driven revolutionary. The director sees similarities with current events and hopes to release the film at the end of 2025.
