For the first time, four Romanian films end up in the top ten of the annual box office in Romania. Despite Barbie and Oppenheimer dominating the overall charts, the four highest-grossing domestic films were still watched by nearly 1.5 million filmgoers. Jesús del Cerro's Miami Bici 2 was the most watched Romanian film of 2023.
