The Dutch Film Fund has awarded 1.8 million euros to producer Viking Film for the development of the animated film Sjap and King. The film, written by Mieke de Jong and directed by Mascha Halberstadt, is about eight-year-old Sjap who goes looking for his mother during Christmas.
