The Netherlands no longer has a chance of winning the Oscar for best international film. The Dutch entry Sweet Dreams is not on the shortlist of fifteen films. The film tells the story of sugar manufacturer Jan and his family who travel to Indonesia after his sudden death. Actress Renée Soutendijk plays a role in the film.
