The Polish Filmmakers Association has filed a lawsuit against the State Treasury over a dispute over compensation. The association demands 96.2 million euros for a period of three years. According to the EU directive, filmmakers and producers are entitled to fair compensation for the use of their works. The association states that the Polish government is failing to do this and that this is contrary to EU law.
