Major streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime must invest 5 percent of their annual turnover in Dutch films and series from January 1. This is the result of a bill by outgoing State Secretary Gunay Uslu (Culture), which was approved by the Senate. This should make more money available for Dutch productions and increase the supply of Dutch content on streaming platforms.
