Polish filmmaker Agnieszka Holland is the target of a smear campaign surrounding her latest film The Green Border. Polish government members and right-wing extremists have reacted fiercely to the refugee drama, for which Holland even had to hire bodyguards to cross the streets safely. The film provides a fictional account of true events on the Polish-Belarusian border in 2021.
