The 48th Polish Film Festival opened with the screening of Doppelgänger by Jan Holoubek and has a new artistic director, Joanna Łapińska. The festival in Gdynia has been the most important gathering for the local film industry since 1974 and this year presents 16 films in the main competition, 25 in the short film competition and many more in other categories. The winners will be announced on September 23.
