Actress and director Wimie Wilhelm, known for Baantjer, among others, has died at the age of 62 after a short illness. Wilhelm was best known for her role as watch commander Els Peeters in Baantjer and directed comedians such as Richard Groenendijk and Brigitte Kaandorp for decades. She also starred in several Dutch films and series, including Zwartboek and Pietje Bell. Wilhelm was recently seen in the series Bestsellerboy and the fantasy series Panduloria.
