In the Hollandse Nieuwe series, Naomi White, director of the film "If I am the sun myself", answers five questions about her film. The film is about performing artist Djuwa Mroivili who explores her relationship to the traditional and white classical music world. White wanted to make this film because she was fascinated by diversity and inclusion within the arts. She dreams of eventually directing both fiction and documentaries. According to her, Dutch film lacks opportunities for makers to experiment and take risks. A defining film moment in her life was the documentary "Moonage Daydream" about David Bowie.
