ITV and British actors' union Equity are working on a landmark deal that would include provisions for AI and cloning for the first time in series such as Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Negotiations will also take place with the BBC and the British producers' organization Pact. The use of AI and cloning of actors' faces can lead to less work for actors. The issue was recently highlighted in an episode of Black Mirror. The deal is not yet final.
