Actors Dilan Yurdakul and Gijs Naber will play the leading roles in the film 'The hunt for Meral Ö.', based on the surcharge scandal. The film, directed by Stijn Bouma, is about a Turkish-Dutch woman who tries to save her family from authorities. Shooting will begin this fall and the film is expected to be released in 2024.
