The Directors Guild of America has ratified a new employment agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The agreement guarantees wage increases and larger royalty payouts and includes some language about protection against artificial intelligence tools. The new agreement also provides creative rights protection and working conditions for assistant directors and unit production managers on scripted drama programs created for AVOD services such as Freevee and Roku.
